Summer (April-June)

Usually summer season in any place is the hottest season one can imagine and it is the same story here in Mainpat. Although hot, Mainpat is a tad cooler in summers than the other cities in the state and this is due to its altitude and location. Summers in Mainpat start in the month of April and stretch all the way until June. Temperatures during this time are the highest in the hill station and range from an average high of 38°C to an average low of 30°C. These temperatures are less brutal from the rest of the state. But in the recent years, summers have been hotter throughout the country and temperatures rise to about 42°C. To sightsee during this season, start your day early and finish off seeing most places during the early hours.
Monsoon (July-October)

After the scorching heat of summer, comes the beautiful season of rain. The monsoon season is one of the best times to visit Mainpat and the temperatures are cool along with light showers. During this season, temperatures range from a high of 32°C to a low of 23°C in the night time. As you can imagine, these temperatures are perfect to go sightseeing, especially if you don’t disagree with the rains. The landscape of this hill station during monsoon becomes absolutely stunning; lush green meadows, long trees and cool winds are some of the things you can see and feel during this time. On some days you can simply sit back at your hotel room and gaze at the beauty of the place from your balcony.
Winter (November-March)

One of the best seasons to visit Mainpat is during winters that start in the last week of October and stay until March. This is the longest season and also the most appropriate one to go and enjoy the hill station. Temperatures during this time range from an average high of 15°C in the daytime to average low of 8°C in the night time. Some winters are really cold and temperatures may dip down even further to 4°C. These temperatures are quite cold and one must carry appropriate clothing to safeguard themselves. This is a season where you can go sightseeing without sweating and getting tired, hence being one of the best times to come.
