This city does not have an airport of its own and the closest airport to Shravasti is in Lucknow known as Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. This airport is located at a distance of 188 km from the center of Shravasti city; this may be a little far, but this is the closest airport. Shravasti has good connectivity to other cities in the state of Uttar Pradesh as well as cities in adjacent states. The closest railhead to get to Shravasti is Balrampur; this station is located at a distance of 16.8 km from the center of Shravasti city. Although it is the closest railway station, Balrampur is not very well connected to other cities and the trains aren’t that frequent either. The Gonda Junction Railway Station is located at a distance of 53.9 km from Shravasti and even though is farther than Balrampur, it has more facilities and more number of trains run from this railway station. Gonda Junction is well connected by rail to other cities in India. Once you reach either of the railway stations, you can take a cab to go to your destination in Shravasti.

You can get around easily in Shravasti by means of a taxi that can be found on taxi stands around the city especially near tourist attractions. You can also travel by auto rickshaw or cycle rickshaw to have a better feel of the city.
