The main airport that serves the region of Allahabad is the Bamrauli Airport, also known as the Allahabad Airport; it is the fastest way to reach Allahabad. It is distanced at 12 km from the city center and has connectivity to major cities of India.

 

By Road:

Allahabad is well linked with several highways and expressways. The National Highway 2 is one of the fastest routes to get to the city. You can also take a bus that is run by the state government or board a private bus from a different city to travel to Allahabad.

 

By Rail:

The Allahabad Junction Railway Station is the main railhead that serves the people of Allahabad. It is distanced at 2.7 km from the main part of the city. Several express trains run from here to other cities in Uttar Pradesh as well as other states.

Monsoon (July-September):

Monsoons are a good time to visit Allahabad due to scanty rainfall in the region; the land does not get wet fully, but the weather remains cool and pleasant the whole time. Temperatures in this season range from 25°C to 35°C, accompanied by light rains.

 

Winter (September-March):

Go to Anand Bhavan:

A monument of historical significance, the Anand Bhavan is a renowned structure in Allahabad which is a must see in the city. This palace was once the residence of the Nehru family and is now transformed into a museum for the public.

 

Visit a Cathedral:

Also known as the Patthar Girja, the All Saints Cathedral is a beautiful place of worship in Allahabad. Styled in gothic architecture, this structure was designed by the British and is a very peaceful place to visit.
