This airport is located at a distance of 107.7 km from the sanctuary and takes about 2.5 hours to reach. Several flight carriers like Indigo, Air India, Spice Jet, Vistara and many more transport passengers from other cities to Agra and vice versa. Taking a flight is the most convenient way to travel to the National Chambal Sanctuary. After you have reached the airport, you can take a bus or a cab for little more ease to get to your destination near or the lodges inside the sanctuary.

If you are driving up there from any other city in India, you can reach the sanctuary via National Highway 45 that is connected to cities like Delhi, Jaipur and Agra; these roads are well maintained and easy to drive on. If you don’t want to drive, you can take a bus ride from Agra, which takes about an hour or you can ride the bus from any other city in the state run by UPSRTC; you can even take a luxury overnight bus from neighbouring states, which are quite comfortable to travel in.

The closest railway station that has to be taken to reach National Chambal Sanctuary is the Dholpur railway station, located at a distance of 92.7 km from the sanctuary; the frequency of trains from this station is not many and alternatively, you can take the Agra Cantt Railway Station in Agra which is distanced at 104.5 km from the sanctuary. The railway station at Agra has more options for trains going to several cities in India like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and many more.
