The little island of Paros has recently gotten its own airport. Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines have flights to Paros directly from the Greek cities of Athens and Thessaloniki. There are also charter flights during the summer during peak tourist season. While travelling from India, the best route is to fly to Athens as there are many flight options and it is also cheaper than flying to Thessaloniki. The airport is at a distance of 10 km outside the main city. You can take a bus, taxi or hire a private vehicle to get to your hotel.

The best way to travel to Paros is by ferry. There are many ferries that leave from Pireus port in Athens daily. These ferries make a round trip of the Cyclades and stop at many of the islands. It can take up to 4 hours from Athens. The other closest island is Mykonos and it takes only about 40 minutes from Mykonos to Paros. The port is situated in the city centre, so getting local cabs, private vehicles or buses is very easy from here.

Paros is a popular tourist destination, so it is well equipped with public transport and that's the best way to get around the island. There are frequent buses from different beaches and villages around the island that lead back to the city centre. It is a cheap and convenient way to explore the island. You can also use Water Taxis (more routes open during the summer) that take you to different beaches. Many tourists also prefer to rent Quad Bikes, Cars and Bicycles to explore the island at their own leisure.
