The summer season in the state usually starts from the month of March and stretches until June. the temperature in March isn’t that high but it slowly increases as we move in April, May, and June. The summers are mostly hot and humid but bearable. The months of May and June are considered to be the hottest as the temperature reaches 40° C and to 45° C in some parts. The average temperature in the state during the summer season is 31° C. Visitors and locals prefer spending their summer vacation at hill stations to escape from the sun. These hill stations offer respite from the heat, especially, in the scorching summer months.

Monsoon (July - October)

The monsoon season starts from late June and lasts until September. Some areas receive rainfall even in October. The state receives rainfall from two types of monsoons — southwest and northeast monsoon. It rains heavily in the state during monsoons, particularly in July and August.
