Shivpuri Weather And Best Time To Visit Shivpuri
Planning A Trip To Shivpuri? Here's a snapshot of Shivpuri weather and the best time to visit Shivpuri
Shivpuri in MP is a medium-sized town that is ancient and holy to the Hindus. The earliest known history goes back to the time of Ashoka in 3rd Century BC. Thereafter, it was under the reign of the Nandas and the Mouryas before being taken over by the Nagas in the start of the 1st Century AD. The town vigorously participated in India’s national movement and after independence finally became a part of MP in 1956.
The weather in Shivpuri is typically sub- tropical. It experiences high temperatures in summer, heavy rainfall in the monsoon and is most pleasant in the winter. The best time to visit Shivpuri is of course winter although the town can be visited round the year.

Though Shivpuri can be accessed by tourists round the year, in summers the outside temperature rises beyond 40°C, with the low at around 30°C and it becomes intolerable for visitors who have to move around outside. The temperature in May might climb to beyond 43°C. It is therefore better for tourists not to visit Shivpuri during the summer period.
Monsoon (July-October)

Shivpuri experiences very heavy rainfall during the rainy season. Tourists therefore find it uncomfortable to go out of doors during this period. The average rainfall is around 130mm. Roads therefore sometimes get flooded as well and navigation may become a big issue. It is best to avoid Shivpuri during the monsoon season.
