The best time to visit Indore is between October and March. However, one can also visit Indore between July and September since it is cool because of the rains and there are some sights one would enjoy more at this time. But, rains could upset your travel plans and this could be an impediment between July and September. One must avoid summers at all costs since it is absolutely scorching hot during this period.
Summer (April-June)

The summers in Indore are when gradually the temperature keeps rising till it hits 36°C and then can go up to 45°C also at times. The month of May is pretty bad in Indore and is the hottest month of the year. The days are hot but the temperature does drop during the evenings and in the nights due to the blowing of cool breeze. However, this period is best avoided by tourists.
Monsoon (July to September)

The monsoon in Indore starts in July. The temperature plummets to around 26°C and from July till September the place would have received more than 900 mm of rainfall. The weather becomes very pleasant and one will enjoy seeing places such as Patalpani waterfall and Meghdoot Upvan. However, the roads do tend to get flooded at times and tourists may find this irksome.
Winter (October-March)

One can really enjoy winters in Indore, especially between November and February. The temperature could be anywhere between 8°C and 28°C. The days are sunny but pleasant and this is the ideal time for visitors to head for Indore. The favourite sights are many, such as Sukh Niwas Palace and Gomatgiri among many others. It is also time to go shopping and trying out eating joints.
