Summer (April – June)

Summers are somewhat warm in Rudraprayag, generally beginning in the month of April and wrapping up by the end of June. The average temperature during this period ranges anywhere between 20 to 36°C, with cool winds blowing during the evenings. This is the best time to venture outside and enjoy the adventurous activities on offer in and around the area. Majority of tourists venture to Rudraprayag during this season.
Monsoon (July – September)

Rudraprayag receives adequate showers between the months of July to September. The surrounding vegetation is refreshed and makes for a beautiful backdrop to this sacred town. The temperature is at an average of 22 to 27°C. There is a chance of landslides and flooding, so visitors are advised to proceed with caution when travelling here during these months.
Winter (December – February)

From December to February, winters are freezing in Rudraprayag. The temperature tends to drop down to sub zero levels and most outdoor activities, temples etc are all closed off to the public. It is not recommended to travel here during this period due to the lack of visibility and strong winds.
