Kanchipuram, famous as one of the seven holiest places of India, is a town teeming with ancient temples and monuments. Picking up the perfect season for a visit will be most suitable for a pleasant stay, for visiting the temples and going off on a shopping or sightseeing trip around the region. Kanchipuram has a humid and tropical weather through the year, with warm summers and rainy monsoons, so the best and most idyllic time to visit Kanchipuram would be from December to March, when the seasons are dry and pleasant.

Summer warms up the region and reaches its zenith by May, with the Agni Nakshatra or fire star making things hot and sultry. Summer is not a suitable season for a holiday getaway to Kanchipuram. By December the rains patter off and the weather turns dry and cool and gets ready to receive the tourists to the pilgrim town of Kanchipuram.
