Vellore Weather And Best Time To Visit Vellore
Planning A Trip To Vellore? Here's a snapshot of Vellore weather and the best time to visit Vellore
Vellore has the typical tropical seasons of hot summers, wet monsoons and pleasant winters. Encircled by the peaks of Javadhu and Yelagiri hills of the Eastern Ghats at Tirupattur Taluk and more remote rocky hillocks on other sides, vast swathes of plains that are watered by the seasonal Palar and Ponnai Rivers, Vellore’s summers are said to be some of the harshest ever in Tamil Nadu, more often coming under heat waves during the months of April and May. It would be ideal to choose a pleasant climate, with no undue vagaries of weather, for a great trip.
The best time for a visit would probably be in winter i.e the months from December to the onset of summer in March.

Vellore is pretty hot, humid and parched during summer. There are hot, dry winds but with occasional summer showers that bring a relief to the regions. You might find summer sweaty and warm for travel, with temperatures reaching up to 43°C at times. Summer is off season for travel and tourism. If you are visiting Vellore in summer, keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water and tender coconuts.
