Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) has great connectivity not only within the state but also with neighbouring states. NH40 is an inter-connecting highway between Shillong and Guwahati. If you are intending to go for some sightseeing then you can book a cab for an entire day or for quick visits around the city, you can choose the normal kaali-peeli taxis. Getting to some places might get a bit challenging in monsoons otherwise you are good to go anytime and explore the places of this beautiful state.
