The nearest airport from Dawki is the Umroi Airport in Shillong, situated a little over 100 km away. However, travellers often find it more convenient to fly into Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, Assam, and then travel to Dawki via Shillong through road. The airport in Guwahati is situated just around 200 km away and has better connectivity to different cities across the country; unlike Shillong, which mainly operates flights to and from Kolkata. Buses and taxis to Dawki are easily available from both airports. If budget is not a problem, travellers may also book a helicopter ride from Guwahati to Shillong, followed by a road journey to Dawki.
