How To Reach Cordoba

Planning A Trip To Cordoba? Here are some guidelines on how to reach Cordoba

Once the largest city of Roman Spain, Cordoba enjoyed its golden age between the 8th and 11th centuries and was regarded as one of the rich and culturally diverse capitals of the world due to its Moorish influences. Cordoba is equally easy to reach by either road, rail or air. Its airport doesn’t have any commercial flight activity, hence visitors will be required to fly to one of the major neighboring cities and then take a train or bus to get to Cordoba. The journey by train is the best and most convenient way for visitors to reach the city, owing the well-connected high-speed AVE trains available. Even getting around the city locally is relatively easy and stress-free with a local bus service and large taxis available for visitors to opt for.

Cordoba Airport is only 6 km away from the main city. However, the airport currently has no commerical flights with only private planes flying in and out. Although visitors might think of this as an inconvenience, major airports in Madrid and Malaga are only 2 hours away, whereas Seville is only an hour away by road. This is the only way to reach for passengers travelling internationally.
