About 200 trains (including Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto) have their stoppages here. From Mumbai alone, there are above 70 trains that connect Ahmedabad directly with Mumbai. 66 trains originate from this station and about 63 trains terminate at Ahmedabad Junction. Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) and regional bus services connect Ahmedabad with important cities within the state as well as in India. There are numerous options to choose from, Volvo, Sleeper, Deluxe, AC, and Non-AC private and government buses are available at regular intervals from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Vadodara, Jaipur, and Surat. If you prefer a self-drive from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, you will have to cover a distance of 500 km and it will take around 9 to 10 hours via NH 8.

Flights for Indian cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Bangalore can be availed from Terminal 1. GoAir, SpiceJet, Air India, and other flights are available for almost any city in India. International flights are available from Terminal 2 with Air Arabia, Emirates, Kuwait Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways service providers.
