Trichy has a predictable tropical climate with hot summers, humid rainy monsoons and warm winters. The district lies on the Deccan Plateau, so the days are usually balmy and nights cooler since pleasant winds blow in from the southeast. Winter is pleasant with rather breezy, moist days and cool nights.
