Summer lasts from April to June. The summery Sikkim weather is fragrant but moist. This is also the time for Sikkim's renowned International Flower Festival that displays close to 600 species of orchids and 240 varieties of other trees, ferns, shrubs and flowers. A fun food fair is also organised to go along with the flower festival and this marks one of the most coveted tourist spots during summer. Summer is also the best time to plan a trek and traipse through the farmlands to view the blooming Orchids growing in the green expanse.
Monsoon (July to September)

Monsoons start from July and last till September. It is highly recommended that you do not visit Sikkim during monsoons as the state is prone to landslides. By the end of August people celebrate the post monsoon ambience, the cat and dog weather again transforms into a tranquil and calm surrounding.

The temperature during this time ranges from 15 to 20 degrees. In November, the temperature drops slightly to 12 degrees.
