Summers in Chhattisgarh are quite hot usually with most parts of the state having subtropical weather. The heat starts to creep in the first week of April and stretches all the way to June. Temperatures during this scorching season range from 38°C in the morning to 43°C in the afternoons. Evenings start to cool down a little bit and temperatures drop to 30°C in the night with warm winds. This is not the most recommended time to visit as it is brutally hot and you will not be able to enjoy the place as the heat may tire you out. If you do have to go, carry light cotton clothes and keep yourself hydrated throughout the trip.

After the scorching heat of the sun in summers, the month of July brings in light showers and by the end of the month monsoons are in full swing. Stretching all the way to October, this season is a great time to visit Malhar as the climate is cool. Temperatures during this time range from 27°C in the mornings and afternoons and by evening the mercury drops showing 21°C and sometimes even colder in the nighttime. This is a great season to visit Malhar as the temperatures are low and rains aren’t too heavy, therefore this is a great time to go sightseeing and explore this old town.

The best season to visit Malhar is during winters that starts in the last week of October and stretches all the way to March. Temperatures during this time range from 16°C in the daytime and gets even more cooler during the evenings and night with temperatures coming down to 8°C. This is a great time to visit Malhar and go sightseeing as you will not get easily tired by the heat. Along with the cold climate, there are chilly winds blowing throughout the day, making it a great time to visit and have a good trip. This is also a good time to visit neighbouring places like Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary and see the animal activity during this time.
