With high arches and stained glass windows, Mary Help for Christian Cathedral is one of the most famous churches in Shillong. The church in white marble along with Mother Mary statue is glorious and exquisite. It is one of the moat prominent tourist places here.

 

The cathedral has some delicate terracotta stations showcasing the life events of Jesus. On top of the hill, you can also visit the Grotto Church carved out of the same hill and right below the Cathedral. On a clear day, you can view the Brahmaputra river and Himalayan peaks. 

Ward’s Lake

Located in the heart of Shillong, you cannot miss Ward’s Lake. With cobblestone walkway around the lake, it is just right for a stroll and relaxing evening. Lady Hydari Park

The park is named after the first lady of the province - Lady Hydari. The park includes a well-planned garden inclusive of eye-catching rose beds and kids play area. There is also a mini zoo inside the park, consisting of 73 species of birds and 100 species of reptiles.
