These are two coves, very coveted for a sightseeing tour in Ko Pha Ngan. The double bay here is pretty and deserves one visit on an idle evening. Most people come here for taking photos - of nature as well as of themselves. You could call this place one of the most Instagram-worthy bays around. With mountains carpeted in tropical trees and the lushness almost all year round, you get to witness this and more from the shelter of soft-sanded beaches. Swimming can also be pursued here.

This is the land of the famous Full Moon parties, the same beach that comes alive with almost 30,000 party mongers on the full moon night of every month in the high seasons. You must visit Haad Rin Beach for its 80s style iconic party places and dance-floors, in addition to all those UV body paints, alcohol buckets and snacks. For Full Moon parties, take care that you don’t do drugs or accept drinks from strangers, there are stringent laws for drugs in Thailand and police is always present in civil clothes around the party.
If you are planning a trip to the beach in the day, then it is just another beach where you can enjoy the bay and the water and the sand.

Challenge Phangan Waterpark is open all days of the week except Monday and has a blast of activities from paddle boarding to water rides, kite surfing to water courses that you can take. Some famous ones include bar climbing and rope swings, balance beams and rolling barrels over water. This is a great place to enjoy on a hot afternoon, when you can’t venture on the burning sands of beaches or enjoy the town markets.

Well, if you are done with all the beaches and parties and bays, then do make it a point to head to the Thong Sala night market in the town of Ko Pha Ngan. The locals of this island are usually not as warm or friendly, especially on Full Moon night parties (note that they have to deal with rowdy and rude tourists all year round), but during these night markets, the vendors and sellers are very good to you. You can shop for everything from traditional Thai food freshly steamed on stalls to ice creams and pizzas, clothes and accessories to local produce. Meat on stick, pad thai noodles, curries and pizza slices are devoured at every corner, followed by dollops of thick ice cream.
