Itanagar is the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh which is at the foothills of Himalayas. Situated between two hills with, the Governor's residence on one hill and a Buddhist temple on the other, this stunning place will inspire you to travel more. It is also called the Gyaka Sinyi Lake. This is again one more destination you should not miss if you like to experience nature at its best. An alluring hill station at 20 km from Itanagar and will surely make you crave for more. Rupa is totally untouched by mankind. It is on the banks of river Tenga. Take an early morning or late evening drive along the Rupa border to experience the stunning beauty of the place. You can also visit the tribal village of Shertukpen to experience the local life.

It is at a distance of 10 km from the city of Itanager. Public transport is easily available to reach the place. Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its flora and fauna. The most common animals found here are the musk deer, Himalayan black deer, red panda and porcupine. A rare variety of monkeys is also found here. This sanctuary houses a number of hornbills too.
