October is celebration time in Mysore, with the Dussehra festival welcoming tourists from all over the world. The weather makes a nice and pleasant post-monsoon season, which is very touristy. The landscape is lush and verdant after the recent rains. There might be occasional rains from the northeast monsoon winds, so carry an umbrella or raincoats. Temperature ranges from 16-28°C.
Winter (January-February)

Winter is dry and warm as well moderately cool; and so, is an extremely good weather to travel to Mysore. It’s the best period for seeing the sights, for unhindered photoshoots and for trekking.
