Planning A Trip To Lonavala And Khandala? Here's a snapshot of Lonavala And Khandala weather and the best time to visit Lonavala And Khandala
As all hill stations are wont to do, Lonavala and Khandala work up some of the beautiful seasonal charms to entice tourists up the hills. The hill stations are situated close to Pune and Mumbai and are considered some of the ideal weekend getaways for locals as well as for tourists on a trip to Maharashtra.
There are misty mountain peaks, waterfalls and lush greenery all over, so the two hill towns are good to visit throughout the year. Winters are the most ideal seasons for a tour, with monsoons preferred by many for its abundant greenery, followed by summer which is considered less warm than in the plains.
The best weather for a trip prevails from October to June.

Summer months that last from March to June are generally quite warm and dry. The days are warm while the setting sun brings in a little cheer to the air with a cooler breeze. Summer is an off peak season, though many tourists head to the hill stations to get a relief from the sweltering heat of the cities, for the mountain ranges still hold their summery charm. Summer is a reasonable time to explore the region and go on short day treks.
The average temperature ranges from 23°C-35°C. Check out the succulent star fruits that are harvested in summer and the mildly spiced slivers of raw mangoes sold on the street sides.
Monsoon (July – September)

Lonavala and Khandala experience heavy to very heavy showers during monsoon. If you are in for travel during the rainy season, when the landcape does turn misty, lush and luxuriant and the waterfalls and streams are gorged with fresh rain waters, then monsoon is also an ideal time for a visit.
But the incessant rains may put off adventure tours and sightseeing. Keep an umbrella and raincoat handy and do watch your footing on wet, slippery roads!

Winters in the twin hill stations are pleasant and chill, with a cool breeze and are considered the best time to visit. Misty mountain peaks are inviting for a trek and the streams are so photographic. Places like the Valvan Lake are ideal for watching the migratory birds flying in for winter.
Driving through the misty unexplored streets of Lonavala and Khandala is one of the best things that you can indulge in during winter. Strolling through the streets, you would find shacks that sell hot roasted corn on cobs that are so great to sink your teeth into on a cool day! The temperature ranges from 11°C to 24°C.
