From Kochi

Situated at a distance of 170 kms, Thekkady is a 3 hour drive from Kochi. The route will take you through the towns of Thiruvankulam, Vannapram, Idukki, Kattappana and finally Thekkady/Periyar. The entire stretch of roads here has the most scenic of views. This route will be a photographer’s delight.  

 

From Kottayam

The 144 km route from Kottayam to Thekkady is interspersed with hilly terrain as well as normal roads. However, fuel stations are very few in this route. This 3 hour drive will take you through the picturesque stretch of the Western Ghats.
