Dr Babasaheb International Airport at Sonegaon, about 8 km from Nagpur has domestic flights to about 16 cities across the country including Hyderabad, Goa, Cochin, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Guwahati. There are international flights to Sharjah, Bangkok, Dubai and Doha as well.
There are auto rickshaw and cab stands near the airport where a vehicle could be hired to reach your destination. Nagpur Railway Station is about 10 km away from the airport and the nearest bus stations are about 7 km away. If you are planning to travel by bus or train further on, you could hire a tuk tuk or taxi from the airport.

Nagpur Junction Railway Station at Sitabuldi caters to daily and weekly superfast as well as passenger train services to cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Bhopal, Amritsar, Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Pondicherry, Coimbatore and Jabalpur. The city’s railway system connects the four metros of Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi.
There are several tourist places just a few kilometers away from the railway station. There are quite a number of bus stands near the railway station including auto rickshaw and cab stands, so you might not find it hard to find a local transport from the rail station. MSRTC interstate and intrastate buses work from a number of locations in Nagpur as well as from the neighboring cities of Maharashtra. Nagpur Mahanagar Parivahan buses run in the intrastate regions with mini buses, star and electric buses.
There are buses that run to Nagpur from cities like Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Pune, Chhattisgarh, Amravati, Hyderabad, Bhilaspur, Indore and Bhopal. A popular tourist getaway is a drive to Nagpur from cities like Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata or Aurangabad.

There are smaller railway stations in Nagpur like Itwari, Godhni, Ajni, Barathwada or Ramtek that run local trains to and fro Nagpur city that is used by local businessmen and tourists for getting around town. Nagpur Metro runs rapid transit train services within the city to landmarks including Sitabuldi, the Airport and Ajni Square.
The most popular means of local transport are auto rickshaws apart from the Metro rails, though there are MSRTC buses as well. You could also hire taxis or app based cabs to get around town. There are cars or two wheelers including motorbikes and scooties and open jeeps that could also be hired for a fee.
