Cuttack is a bustling city situated on a delta that is formed between the rivers Mahanadi and Kathjuri, in the eastern coastal state of Orissa. While it is well known as the former capital of Orissa, the large numbers of trading houses in the city also make it the commercial capital of the state.

The most convenient way to reach Cuttack is to catch a flight to Biju Patnaik International Airport, located in the capital city of Bhubaneswar. The only international airport in the state, it is well connected to a number of destinations worldwide, including major metro cities in the country like Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai etc. The airport is 24 km away from Cuttack, and can be reached via buses and taxis that are available outside the airport.

The Cuttack Railway Station is a busy junction with a number of trains operating to and from this station, which is located on the main line that runs between Kolkata and Chennai. Travelers can choose from a range of Superfast, Express or local trains that pass through this region and connect to other cities within Orissa and outside.

Cuttack is connected to major cities nearby through National Highways and good road networks.
