Monsoons in Namdapha are moderate to heavy with an average annual rainfall of about 2900mm. In contrast to high altitude locales, tropical climate is more evident in Namdapha when the southwest monsoons hit the park from June through September. Whilst the rains and humidity affect the vegetation in the area, heavy showers tend to create havoc on the road conditions and spoil plans for travel or outdoor activities.
