The nearest airport is at Tiruchirapalli (Trichy), about 90 km from Kumbakonam. You could hire a cab from the airport to Kumbakonam or a bus/cab from near the airport to the Central Bus Stand at Trichy and get on a connecting bus to Kumbakonam.
