Kaza does not have an airport. The closest airport is Bhuntar located 250 km away, while Shimla Airport is about 445 km from Kaza. From the airport tourists can hire a cab to reach Kaza. However cabs can be availed only during the months May/June to October. During winter due to very heavy snowfall roads remain closed.

Like airport, Kaza does not have rail connectivity. The Joginder Nagar Railway Station is the nearest station that is located 365km from Kaza. There are regular bus services between Kaza and Joginder Nagar. Tourists can also hire cabs.

The HRTC or Himachal Road Transport Corporation operates regular buses from Kullu to Kaza via Manali. The buses reach Manali around 4:45 in the morning and leave for Kaza at 5:00 am. It reaches Kaza in the afternoon or evening depending on the existing road conditions.

Commuting within Kaza is fairly easy as taxis are readily available. Most importantly, there are private jeeps for rental that are extremely sturdy and ideal for the terrain. It is recommended to pack oneself in layers of woollens if travelling during winter as it is chilling cold.
