The closest airport located to Sirpur is Swami Vivekananda International Airport in Raipur. This airport is distanced 74.5 km from Sirpur and is the fastest way to reach the town. You can find public transportation from the airport onwards.

Summers in Sirpur are the hottest in the region with temperatures ranging from 32°C to 43°C. The weather is hot and stuff during this time and it is not the best season to visit. Although if you do visit during this time, visit the waterfalls in the area for a pleasant trip.

 

Monsoon (July-October):

After the heat of summer, the month of July brings in the rains. With monsoon season coming in, temperatures lower down and range from 20°C in the night to 29°C in the day time with cool showers at all times.

 

Winter (November-March):

Visit Temples:

The prime thing to do in Sirpur is to visit temples. There are several famous temples in the vicinity namely Lakshman Temple, The Ram Temple which are famous for their architecture and timeless history.

 

Visit a Sanctuary:

When in Sirpur, you can always visit Barnawapara Wildlife Santuary. Located right next to Sirpur, this sanctuary has almost 200 species of birds and animals. This is the best place for nature and wildlife lovers.

 

Visit Swastik Vihara:

One of the most famous things to visit in Sirpur is the Swastik Vihara. This is where Lord Buddha would sit for hours and meditate. The architecture of the temples from its ruins and the grand entrance is something to witness.
