By Air:
Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is the main airport that serves the passengers of Lucknow as well as people coming from other cities. It is located in Amausi and is 15 km away from the cuity center. Thousands of passengers travel daily from the airport and there are several planes helping them commute.
By Road:
Lucknow has great connectivity by road and is linked to cities that are close by and in neighbouring states as well with the help of well developed highways and expressways. You can also take busses that are run by UPSRTC, which are comfortable and easy on a budget trip.
By Rail:
The main railways station that serves the people of Lucknow and the ones visiting is the Lucknow Junction Railways Station, located at 3.6 k from the city center. The Lucknow Charbagh Railway Station is another one located at 3.2 km. Both the stations have great connectivity to cities in the same state as well as other states in India.
Getting Around:
You can move around Lucknow by various means of transportation; you can use an autorickshaw, a bus, a taxi or the metro. Taxis are personal and comfortable, but busses are the cheapest way to get around the city. You can use the metro to save time and get to places quicker.

Summers in Lucknow are hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 30°C-45°C. In the peak month, the heat is scalding and the city is not visited by many during this time. If you are visiting during this time, make sure you are prepared for the heat.
Monsoon (July-September):
After a scalding summer, the region of Lucknow starts to cool down with the onset of monsoon. The rains make the land cooler and the temperatures drop, ranging from 25°C-32°C accompanied by slight thunderstorms. If you don’t mind the wetness, this is a great time to visit Lucknow.
Winter (October-March):

If you are looking for more of a local experience, you can visit Aminabad which is one of the oldest and the busiest markets in Lucknow.
