Air:

The Dubai International Airport is the only airport of the metropolis. It is the busiest airport of UAE. Dubai's national airline - Emirates connects the city to more than a 100 destinations worldwide. Some other airlines include FlyDubai and Etihad.

Rail:

There are no railway routes to Dubai.

Road:

The coach service, Emirates Express, connects Dubai to all other Emirates. You can easily avail of the frequent bus services between Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Masafi, Ajman, so forth. If you want to drive into Dubai, the only way you can do so is through Oman, for which you will not require a permit.

The best time to visit Dubai is between November and March. Being a desert city, Dubai has only two seasons - hot and hotter! During the apparent winter time in Dubai, you will see some clear blue skies, that make for amazing beach expeditions. This is the peak tourist season, with crowds thronging the city.

Visit Burj Khalifa:

When in Dubai, make sure you go and see Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world and the most famous landmark of the city. The building stands 829.8 meters tall. The observation deck on the 124th floor stuns the visitors with its breathtaking views of the city skyline.

Visit Dubai Mall:

Dubai Mall is the city's premier mall. It also provides an entry to Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Aquarium. You will find plenty to do here - from an ice-skating rink to cinemas, gaming zones and more to keep you occupied. Plus, there are the special events, such as live music and fashion shows within the mall.

Browse through Bastakia:

The Bastakia Quarter represents old Dubai. It was built in the late 19th century to be the home of wealthy Persian merchants. If you are historically inclined, you will absolutely love to roam around and see the old-style coral and limestone buildings, most of which have wind-towers, an earlier form of air conditioning.

The Emirati cuisine is unlike any in the world. You can literally eat a camel here if you have the appetite for it! Shawarma, meat served in a wrap, is also quite easy to find. There are plenty of up-market and mid-level restaurants, such as The Talk Restaurant and Lounge, Indego, Shabestan Restaurant.

Dubai is a shopper’s paradise. You can shop at The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, WAFI Mall, etc, and pick up just about anything under the sun.
