By Road:
The most ideal way to get to Can Tho is to hop on one of the numerous private and public bus and taxi services availalbe from any of the major neighbouring cities.
By Air:
The Can Tho International Airport is nearly 10 km away from the heart of the city. With no direct flights it can be reached by domestic flights from other significant cities in and around Vietnam.
By Boat:
With no railway of its own, the only other way to get to Can Tho is via boat. There are a few select overnight cruises for visitors to choose from. However, in general this is not a recommended way to reach.

Dry Season (December - April):
With temperatures averaging 23 to 30° C, this is the most popular time for visitors to explore Can Tho. The warm weather, high visibility and reduced rainfall and humidity are what primarily characterize this season.
Monsoon Season (May - November):
Other than the initial few months of this season, the rest of this period is not ideal for travel. This is due to a severe rise in humidity and rain showers. Additionally the area might be prone to cloud burst with a chance of flooding.
