Located on the edges of the Thar Desert, Bharatpur has unbearably hot summers. With temperatures ranging from 30°C to 48°C, summer months are not ideal for bird watching. With temperatures soaring, the birds leave for places with cooler climate.


Winter (October to March):
The best time to visit Bharatpur is during winter months, from as early as October till March. Birds of different species migrate from other countries and make Bharatpur their home.


Monsoon (July to September):
